In a Google Flights update, information on carbon emissions will be shown immediately in search results.
Google will begin displaying a carbon emissions estimate for almost every flight starting today.
This information will appear alongside the price and length of the flight in the SERPs.

When searching for appliances, a new upgrade to Google Shopping will enable users to discover the most ecologically friendly choices.
When you search for energy-intensive items like furnaces, dishwashers, and water heaters, the Shopping page will show you the most environmentally friendly choices.
Google Maps’ Eco-Friendly Routing
When looking for a place in Google Maps, Google will emphasize the most fuel-efficient route starting today in the United States and in Europe in 2022.

“Eco-friendly routing is currently available in the United States for Android and iOS, thanks to AI and insights from the US Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), with plans to extend to Europe and beyond in 2022.
We believe that environmentally friendly route may save over one million tons of CO2 each year, which is the equivalent of eliminating over 200,000 vehicles off the road.”
Google Maps will keep looking for the quickest route. If it differs from the most fuel-efficient route, Maps will give you two choices. After that, users may choose which path they wish to take.
Lite Navigation for Cyclists will be available soon.
Biking instructions on Google Maps have risen by up to 98 percent in places across the globe, according to Google.
Google is launching “light” navigation as an alternative to conventional turn-by-turn navigation to make it simpler to travel about by bike.
Lite navigation mode allows riders to view essential information about their trip without having to glance at their device continuously.
